GALERY RESTAURANT: The Gallery, consisting of three spacious pods, is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is the main restaurant at Bandos.
Serving up elaborate buffet-style dining with a wide choice of dishes, guests can relax knowing that all tastes are catered for.The Gallery is open to all guests but specialises in catering to those who have pre-booked their meals. KOON THAI RESTAURANT: The Koon Thai Restaurant serves delicious, authentic Thai cuisine in elegantly designed surroundings.
Guest can choose to dine inside or savour the view and gentle breeze outdoors on the deck overlooking the lagoon. Our passionate chefs ensure each dish offers a truly authentic Thai taste that awakens your taste buds, all of which can be accompanied by a selection of fine wines from around the world.
SEA BREEZE CAF'E: Aptly named, the Sea Breeze Cafe is situated at the edge of the water where customers can lounge on the large outdoor over-water deck and enjoy the breathtaking view of the lagoon while relaxing in the gentle breeze. Open round the clock, the restaurant offers a wide variety of dining options from a la carte offerings such as spaghetti or even authentic Indian curries to alternative fast-food fixes such as pizza and hamburgers.
HUVAN: Huvan, which means blue skies and calm seas, is the best place to view the stunning Maldivian sunsets. Open daily from 7.30am until midnight, the enormous sundeck allows you to unwind under a star-filled night sky or while admiring the dazzling blue horizon. Dive Bandos is one of the longest established centres in the country and our professional staff will ensure that you experience the lush underwater gardens, colourful fish and magnificent seascapes in total safety. The Dive Centre is a spacious facility complete with air-conditioned audio visual classrooms, library, hot water showers and large storage rooms.The convenient location of Bandos in the southern part of the North Male Atoll offers access to over 40 impressive dive sites.

Our medical clinic, with a decompression chamber and hyperbaric chamber, is available at all times should you need it. While diving with us, all guests should have insurance to cover dive accidents. If divers do not have appropriate insurance DAN short term packages are also available at Dive Bandos which will cover decompression sickness (DCS), and chamber treatments up to €6,000. Bandos Medical has two medical doctors, a general practitioner, a dive medical officer (European) and a nurse on location 24 hours a day.
RENEWAL VOWS: The Bandos Wedding features a taste of a traditional island ceremony, with a sunset boat ride, unique cultural costumes, Maldivian drums and local-style decoration. The ceremony is held on the beach followed by a private cruise on a Dhoni (Maldivian boat). The newlyweds then enjoy a romantic private dinner set on the beach of Bandos. NIGHT FISHING: Your visit to Bandos Island Resort and Spa is not complete without trying your hand at the local pastime of fishing.
Bait your hook, drop your line direct from a Dhoni to the reef and hope for a nibble as you watch the spectacular colours of the sunset and listen to the ocean waves lap the surrounding islands. After two hours of fishing for your own supper, we prepare a delicious barbecue on a beach at Bandos Maldives. While you are waiting to barbecue your catch you will be entertained with spectacular ‘bodu beru’ (local music with drums, rhythm and dance). After dinner you can just sit and relax with your loved ones on the white powder sandy beach and watch the glittering bonfire on the shore.
SET DOLPHIN CRUISE: Experience our fun search for wild dolphins while viewing the best sunsets the islands has to offer. One of our most fun-filled excursions, it’s an opportunity to see dolphins in their natural environment, jumping and doing their friendly tricks, and even swimming with the boat as you both go jumping and streaming across the ocean.
SNORKELING TRIP: The coral reefs in the Maldives are inhabited by diverse marine life and are teaming with colourful fish. Snorkelling is the easiest way to enjoy the beauty found beyond the lagoon.Reef snorkelling takes place directly from the boat and is therefore suitable for stronger swimmers. Guests are advised to wear adequate sun screen.
ISLAND HOPPING: Hop on board a local mechanised Dhoni and sail away across the North Malé Atoll to explore the different types of islands in the area. Snorkel, swim or take a nap while you top up that tan in our tropical paradise. You will discover a local island and see Maldivians at work and experience their island lifestyle. Visit a local souvenir shop where you can buy something to remember your trip. The full day tour includes a picnic lunch on the beach on of Bandos Maldives. Half day tours start after breakfast and we return to Bandos for lunch.
MALE’ TOUR: Malé must rank amongst the smallest capital cities of the world but it has plenty of atmosphere and history to interest visitors.
Explore the streets of this tiny and unique island city through a tour by experienced local guides. Watch the fisherman unload their catch at the bustling local fish market or wander the aisles of colourful Maldivian produce at the local market. Malé also has a number of interesting historic and religious sites that illustrate the history and culture of the Maldives.Take a walk in the narrow lanes and witness the hustle and bustle as shopkeepers, fishermen, civil servants and businessmen all go about their daily business.
GLASS BOTTOM BOAT: Step aboard our glass bottom boat and immerse yourself in a spectacular underwater world in complete comfort.
