On Holiday Island, you can savor the splendid seclusion of the Maldives. Here, you will discover your own tropical island paradise, with lacy palms, white soft sandy beaches, crystal clear water and lots of sun-shine. This beautiful Island is the ideal retreat for those who deserve and desire a holiday away from the rush of the main stream. Holiday Island has 142 Luxury beach-front guest rooms with modern facilities. The main restaurant offers Western and Oriental cuisine with rich and delicious buffets. In addition, the 24-hour coffee-shop and the bar serves varieties of a la' carte meals and drinks around the clock.
When you look at what this resort has to offer and compare the price you can pay for it, you must conclude that it is one of the best value for money resorts in the country. It is large and doesn’t look particularly "Maldivian", but it has all the ticks in all the boxes, plus for almost all our guests the services they received from "Holiday Island" is second to none.
Though the island is quite large, when the resort is full you are not going to get the beach to yourself either, but on the other hand you will never be cramped as the beach extends almost all the way around the island (some erosion in the northeast corner). The south facing beaches are particularly good and, of course has the sun all day. The north side is a series of small beaches between small, low groins. The lagoon is too large for access from the beach but there are four trips a day to the reef edge and one a week further afield for snorkelers.
Holiday island located on the southern tip of South Ari Atoll is haven of peace and tranquility. Its 97km from the airport. It is a beautiful island with white talc beaches all around it.
Transfer time between the airport and the resort is about . Night transfer is not provided. The resort requires a minimum of 8 pax to book speedboat transfer.

All 142 rooms are the same and are individual bungalows except for 18 put together in pairs, with an adjoining door, for families. They are each spacious, well built and perfectly maintained. Top quality fixtures and fittings (from Singapore) are used throughout. There is a mini-bar, a hairdryer, a telephone in the room and the bathroom and a wide-screen satellite television with big speakers. The bathroom has an open-air part with a powerful hot shower duplicated in the inside bath. Unfortunately, the single painting in the room is of dubious taste.
note: The hotel has 220V-240V A/C 50Hz in all sockets inside your room. We advise you not to drink water inside your bathrooms and taps, since its desalinated water.
One door from the room opens to the beach and another opens onto the winding path that runs all the way around the inside of the island. Inside this paved path are carefully tended shrubs, flowers, palms and other fruiting trees and everyday a group of women from neighboring Maamigili are brought over to sweep the earth pristine white sands.

There is a choice of restaurants offering western and oriental cuisine with rich and delicious buffets and set menu meals. In addition, the coffee shop and bar serve a variety of a larcarte meals and drinks around the clock.
In addition to the above depending on the choice of clientele, open air barbecue or a Maldivian Night is a common thing.
The main restaurant offers Western and Oriental cuisine with delicious buffets. This is where guests on full board, half board and bed & breakfast are served breakfast, lunch and dinner. All meals are served buffet style. Full continental European or English breakfast is available at the breakfast buffet and a wide variety of dishes Continental, Asian and Maldivian dishes are served at lunch and dinner.
This is the place for a light lunch or an afternoon snack, in a more informal setting, decorated in a casual snack bar style and is open round the clock. This restaurant serves you for your convenience. While the late breakfast included in the menu serves those who prefer to lie in during their holidays, a range of fresh Juice serves to quench your thirst while sun bathing at the beach.
Main bar is opened around the clock. During happy hour time there will be 25% discount off from all cocktails with free snacks.
Karaoke bar opens at night at 2130hrs if there is no special event in the main bar.
Beach bar is located nearby water sports center in a beautiful spot so that you may enjoy the natural beauty of the island while you are enjoying your drinks. Otherwise you may enjoy a cocktail while the Sunsets! Beach bar is opened between 0930hrs to 1230hrs and 1400hrs to 1800hrs every day.
- All - inclusive package rules and details
How "all inclusive" works:
- All types of beverages for personal consumption, served one glass at a time, ordered while at the Main Restaurant, Coffee Shop, Main Bar or Beach Bar.
- Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) can be ordered one at a time and not in advance.
- No refund for missed meals will be entertained nor can any benefits of the package be transferred to another guest.
- All the guests staying in the same room should be on “all inclusive” basis.
- No Alcoholic drinks will be served for person aged below 18.
- The “all inclusive” package is available only for the guests entire stay and the guests who cut short their stay will not be refunded.
- The hotel cannot be held responsible for the facilities, services and amenities that cannot be used due to weather conditions or due to circumstances beyond our control.
- Upon check–in at the resort a wrist bracelet should be worn at all times as an identification of entitlement for the all-inclusive services and which should be returned to the front desk cashiers at the time of final settlement.
- In case of loss of the bracelet a surcharged of US$20.00 will be charged for a new one.
Our procedure requires billing for all consumption of food & beverage as well as for all other services.
- All guests are required to sign in the bills that are presented against any service provided.
- The benefits of the package can be enjoyed until check-out or check-out time of 1200hrs noon whichever is earlier. In case the transfer gets delayed or advanced due to transfer rescheduling, the clients cannot claim for a refund.
- Includes one-night fishing trip and an island hopping trip (half day) per guest staying 6 nights or more.

Exercise options include billiard, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, badminton, tennis and a gym – plus a sauna and steam bath to finish. Then there is the fishing, night fishing and early morning trawler fishing (which is exercise or relaxation depending on how seriously you take it). In the evening the entertainment does continue. Twice a week there is karaoke and disco, once a week a live band, a crab race and a beach party. In the main bar drinks are served until the last person leaves. In addition to that is a 24-hour room service.

At the end of the paths, at opposite ends of the island, are the water-sports center and the dive center. The water-sports center, comprehensively equipped (including parasailing) and enthusiastically run by a young team, is perfectly placed on a fine, wide beach with a sharply sloping lagoon. The dive center has its own small jetty and is busy with three boats heading out twice a day. This is the most renowned region in the Atoll for diving, with a wide array of different dives sure to please. The popularity sometimes means meeting up with other groups from neighboring resorts or safari boats.
A full fledge diving school is in operation in Holiday Island. Courses are offered at all levels for beginners and professionals alike.

The resort organizes dive trips every day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Twice a week, we organize also a two tank dive in the morning, and always an afternoon dive.
When the sun is down, disco into the night, or small talk time away curled on a chair on the picturesque open air deck with stars above and islands beckoning across the sea. There is also a karaoke facility.
The weekly cultural show (BODUBERU) and live music depending on house count of guests and a barbecue night provide a few climatic moments in an unforgettable holiday.
The excursions will take you to a fishing village or to the capital island of Male’. Everywhere you meet gentle, friendly Maldivians. Our popular island hopping tour with a stop at a nearby resort or two and a picnic lunch on an uninhabited island is a memorable event.
- Full Day Excursion
Provides you a chance to see three different islands; a resort, an inhabited island and an uninhabited island. In this guided tour, you will have a chance to swim, snorkel and suntan near by a virgin island followed by a delicious BBQ. In the fishing village, you may also enjoy some shopping and see few historical places, which have been brought to your era, since our ancestors.
- Half-Day Excursion
Due to the Maldives being a chain of many islands divided into different Atolls, we arrange a special trip to take you one of these islands and a resort within the Atoll.
Takes you to the open waters ensuring further exploration of fish. Boat captain takes you to the different locations where you may enjoy good catch. You will be provided BBQ out of your catch at the Coffee Shop Terrace.
- Half-day fishing
If you want to try real fishing, rest assured that this is the best trip to get started. Just keep in mind that there are several elements to the enjoyment of fishing, waterman ship and knowledge of underwater knowledge, physical condition and use of correct equipment. The best time to drop your hook to catch a bigger fish is early hours of the day when fishes come across the oceans looking for their food in a very hungry mood. Different types of Sharks Blue and Black Marlin, Southern Blue Fin Tuna, Skip Jack and Yellow Fin Tuna, Queensland Spanish Mackerel, Sail Fish, Wahoo and Barracuda are among most catch of the trip. That's not all! You also will be provided BBQ out of your catch, if you catch any.
- Night fishing
Catch a fish before you lose the Sun! The boat captain will take you to a good location where he has experienced good catch. Night fishing is the easiest way of experiencing how to catch fish. Barracudas, Red and White Snappers, Small Tooth Grouper, Blue Fin Jack and Bulls Eyes are among the most catch. Your boat crew will provide you the fishing gear and therefore, you need not carry them with you. Call one of the crews, should you need any assistance on board. Enjoy the BBQ of your own catch! Even if you did not catch any fish, still the BBQ will be provided at 2200hrs on the Sundeck, if the weather permits. Otherwise inside the Coffee Shop.
The hotel provides snorkeling trips on chargeable basis to different locations within this area. However, you may rent the equipment from the diving center and snorkel around the island at any time as you wish
